Yeti Crab

Yeti crabs were found in piles around hydrothermal vents on the seafloor. They were discovered along the Southern Ocean floor near Antarctica. British scientists led by Alex Rogers found them on an expedition in 2010. They were found with 600 crabs per sq. metre!
Yeti crabs have hair on their legs and claws while other crabs have no hair! Isn't that weird? These little crabs live in warm waters but look like the Abominable Snowman mixed with a crab.

Fathead Sculpin Fish

For my first blog I decided to do the funniest and weirdest thing I could think of that I saw recently.

This strange fish is called a Fathead Sculpin Fish. The little flap of skin that looks like a nose is actually fat. Most of this weird fish is made up of fat. It is amazing these things can even move. They eat crustaceans, mollusks, and sea urchins. One, called Mr. Blobby Fish, even has his own Facebook page.
