Ducks
Ducks are very unique birds.Ducks are found on all the continents except for Antarctica. All ducks belong to the bird family, Anatidae. A baby duck is a duckling, an adult male duck is a drake, and an adult female is called a hen or a duck. Ducks feathers are extra waterproof due to an intricate feather structure and a waxy coating. The feathers are so waterproof that even when they are completely underwater their soft underfeathers that keep them warm stay dry. Ducks are omnivorous, which means they will eat both meat and plants. They eat many types of food such as, grass, aquatic plants, insects, seeds, fruit, fish, crustaceans and other types of food.
